An enigmatic and poetic bronze scene: two stylised human figures take their place on the back of a horse in motion, accompanied by a figure walking at its side. The elongated, almost wire-thin bodies and deliberately unrealistic proportions lend the work a narrative and oneiric dimension. Carybé — Héctor Julio Paride Bernabo — extends here his plastic vocabulary nourished by Latin American imagination and collective memory. Provenance: Romanenko collection.
