About the artwork
A suspended denim jacket, emptied of any human presence, as if frozen in an interrupted movement. The absence of the body transforms the everyday object into an autonomous sculptural form, oscillating between realism and abstraction. Tomek Kawiak extends here his dialogue with the memory of garments and the fixing of time in matter.
